A memorandum explaining an action to expect at the Colorado College commencement ceremony, in response to the Board of Trustees’ action in March, 1978 to continue its policy of investing in companies that do business in South Africa, which was taken “without regard to the majority position on campus.” The memo states that many graduates plan to drop white cards into a container as they cross the stage to receive their diplomas to express their support for divestment and their willingness to contribute to the college only when it divests.
