The Africa Research Group (ARG) was a radical research /action collective concerned with exposing and fighting American imperialist penetration of Africa. ARG was a movement research and education project that focused on analyzing United States imperialist penetration of Africa. ARG hoped to promote a more informed concern with and protest against the role the U.S. played in the domination of Africa and to contribute to the sharpening and extending an anti-imperialist and anti-racist consciousness within the movement for social change. When the organization decided to close, it donated is archives to the African-American led Africa Information Service. (Source: ARG and Africa Information Service publications.)
