The Committee on Southern Africa was an anti-apartheid and national liberation movement support organization at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Binghamton. It campaigned and worked with other SUNY campuses' anti-apartheid organizations to get the university to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. This included IBM, which had major operations in Binghamton, and Marriott, which was the campus food service provider and had operations in South Africa including most notably at South African airports. The Committee on Southern Africa worked in the community as well as on campus; it made many presentations about South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique at local churches. The Committee on Southern Africa owned a copy of the movie Last Grave at Dimbaza.
