Hans Erik Stolten was a member of the Danish Anti-Apartheid Movement, South Africa Contact, and the non-governmental organization MS (Danish Association for International Cooperation). A historian, he is a lecturer at the Centre for African Studies at the University of Copenhagen. He edited two books on the anti-apartheid movement. This interview was conducted during the conference A Decade of Freedom: Celebrating the Role of the International Anti-Apartheid Movement in South Africa's Freedom Struggle held in Durban, South Africa, October 10-13, 2004.
