Letter to Colorado College President Gresham Riley from the Colorado College Community Against Apartheid (CCCAA) asking the college administration to assist the CCCAA to organize two events in April and May at which one or two Board of Trustees members will explain their position for continued investment in South Africa and answer questions. The reason for the request is the Board’s vote against full divestment despite a recommendation for divestment by “the CCCA, faculty, the Shareholders Responsibility Committee, twenty-one student organizations and 1000 signatures.” [Note: Colorado College schedules courses in “Blocks” rather than semesters.]
