On May 9, 1985, Rutgers hosts approximately twenty schools from throughout the nation attending the first National Sleep-In for Divestment. The purpose of the Sleep-In is to demonstrate both the unity and strength of the national divestment movement. The National Sleep-In will culminate on Friday, May 10, in a rally and a funeral march that begins at 9:30 am. The funeral procession is our way of stressing both the urgency and poignancy of our divestment message.
