Nelson Mandela shaking hands with New York City Mayor David Dinkins while Dinkins gives Mandela the keys to the city on an outdoor stage in front of New York City Hall. Many dignitaries are behind them, a few with their fists raised. Many people are watching the event from in front of the stage. This event followed a ticker tape parade.
