A delegation of three state legislators from the United States visited their counterparts in Southern Africa, organized by The Africa Fund. From left: Michigan State Senator Virgil Smith, Chair of the Finance Committee in West Province Mrs. Z. T. Tumagole, Deputy-Speaker of the North West Province L.A. Maluleka, Arkansas State Representative Irma Hunter Brown, Arizona State Representative Arthur M. Hamilton, and RDP Commissioner on North West Province R. L. Motsepe. (RDP stands for Reconstruction and Development Program.) These three U.S. legislators also visited Namibia and Zimbabwe.
