Thozamile Botha during a tour of the United States. Botha was a South African trade unionist at the Ford Motor Company plant in Port Elizabeth who went into exile and joined the South African Congress of Trade Unions (SACTU). SACTU was banned in South Africa and was part of the Congress Alliance that included the African National Congress (ANC).
