Leaflet handed out outside a performance by Nikki Giovanni at California State University at Long Beach on March 3, 1986. The leaflet says the demonstration was called in part due to Giovanni’s reluctant admission that she spent four days in South Africa in 1974. Her trip, which has yet to be fully explained, was in defiance of the international ban on cultural collaboration with and travel to the racist state and the U.N. campaign to totally isolate apartheid. The leaflet includes an image with the heading Peter W. Botha--wanted for crimes against humanity!
