Press release with a statement signed by more than 120 people from many national organizations. The statement supporting the Anti-Apartheid Act of 1985 highlights repression in South Africa. During the last year, hundreds of men, women, and children have been killed by government forces. More still have been arrested. Nearly forty years after apartheid was codified into law, the white minority government continues to forcibly relocate tens of thousands of blacks into worthless and remote parcels of land.
