Brochure of the TransAfrica Chicago Support Committee. It describes the national TransAfrica organization that opened after discussion of the need for a black foreign policy lobby at a Black Leadership Conference in September of 1976. TransAfrica was formed to cultivate a broad national constituency that would allow TransAfrica to be truly representative. Efforts to organize a Support Committee in Chicago began in 1981.
