Square, light blue button with a drawing of Stephen Biko in dark blue and beige. A large red “X” covers his mouth, and the name “BIKO” is along the left edge of the button. Biko, a leader of the Black Consciousness Movement, was beaten to death by security officers on September 12, 1977. Most likely this button was produced in the United States. Size: 1-1/4 inches across.
