San Francisco Poster Brigade; Rachael Romero
San Francisco, California, United States
July 1977
The poster contains a black and white design of three African people with expressive faces. A black man in the middle is wearing a shirt with African designs, and his forehead and cheeks are furrowed. On the left is a young woman wearing a headwrap. She is facing forward but is looking to the side; the top of a gun is showing that she is carrying on her back. On the right side is a woman with her head tilted and looking far off to the side. Behind these figures, the background is deep yellow, which blends upward into orange and then red. The title is in large black hand-drawn letters that fill half of the poster.
