The oval button is a stylized drawing of the faces of three women- two on the outside in gold on brown background and one on the inside in brown on gold background. South African Women's Day celebrates the anniversary of the march by 20,000 women to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to protest passes on August 9, 1956. Button was apparently produced by the African National Congress Women's Section in the 1980s, possibly in Zambia.
