The round blue button says "Boycott Barclays" in white text across the middle of the button, with white outlines above and below. "Don't Bank on Apartheid" appears in black text at the top and bottom edges of the button. This button most likely was produced by the Anti-Apartheid Movement (AAM). From the mid-1970s to 1986, AAM and End Loans to Southern Africa campaigned to get Barclays to withdraw from and stop making loans to South Africa. In 1985, other international banks stopped making loans to South Africa, and Barclays withdrew from South Africa in 1986.
