A delegation of three legislators from southern Africa came to the United States for a trip organized by The Africa Fund. Arkansas State Representative Irma Hunter Brown accompanied them for much of the trip. She had been a member of the 1995 Africa Fund delegation of U.S. state legislators to South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. Hunter Brown, at left, is at left with Edna Madzongwe, Deputy Speaker Madzongwe of Zimbabwe, Koti Nyama Deputy Speaker of Northern Province Legislature in South Africa.
