Lucia Basson, Chairperson of the Management Committee (similar to mayor) of Mariental in Namibia, was an honored guest at the National Conference of Black Mayors' Annual Meeting. She is seated at the head table (second from right) at the NCBM gathering in Atlanta, Georgia. She was in the United States on tour with two women elected official colleagues from South Africa and Zimbabwe.
