Students at Ongwediva Teacher Training College in northern Namibia celebrate SWAPO's victory in the election for a Constituent Assembly of Namibia. The election, conducted under United Nations supervision, was held November 7-11, 1989. This photo was taken by Michael Fleshman, staff member of the American Committee on Africa, who was part of the observer team organized by the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
