Voter education at an Anglican church in rural northern Namibia. These women are holding sample ballots with the names and logos of political parties competing to place their slate of candidates on the Constituent Assembly of Namibia. The election for which they are preparing was held November 7-11, 1989. This photo was taken by Michael Fleshman, staff member of the American Committee on Africa, who was part of the observer team organized by the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
