Walter Sisulu, a leading figure in the African National Congress (ANC), speaking at Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem. The Rev. Dr. Wyatt Tee Walker (left), was the senior pastor. Dr. Walker was President of the American Committee on Africa (ACOA) and a Trustee of The Africa Fund at the time. He had help found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) and served as its Executive Director from 1960-1964.
