Protesters organizing by the Southern Africa Solidarity Committee (SASC) and Harvard-Radcliffe Black Students Association (BSA) carry signs at the dedication of the Kennedy School of Government, and its new library, which was to be named after Charles Engelhard. Engelhard profited significantly from his large investment in gold mining in South Africa. Signs read: "The Soweto Memorial Library," "The K-School of Apartheid and Repression," "Harvard Out of S. Africa Now," "End Harvard's Share of Apartheid," "Harvard Education Should Not be Financed by Apartheid," and "Harvard Doesn't Justice Profit from Apartheid."
