The date of this photograph is unknown but likely it shows the labor demonstration held Friday, March 18, 1988 at Calder Plaza in Chicago where the demand was to free South African trade union leaders, political prisoners and children. Some demonstrators are holding "STOP APARTHEID BOYCOTT SHELL" signs. Other demonstrators are holding signs from Hotel Employees, Restaurant Employees Local 1 and District 65 UAW, AFL-CIO. In the back is a sign related to Moses Mayekiso. [Note: UAW is the United Auto Workers.]
