Roberta Washington and Wendy Simmons in Maputo, Mozambique. Both citizens of the United States worked as cooperantes in Mozambique for a couple of years. When Washington returned to the United States she became a founding member of the Mozambique Resource Center and was involved in the Mozambique Support Network after its founding in October 1987.
