This button was produced to support Assembly Bill 54, introduced in the Wisconsin State Assembly. The bill prohibited the Wisconsin State Investment Board from investing in any financial institution that had outstanding loans to the Republic of South Africa or purchasing stocks of any company doing business there. The round button has black text on a white background. This particular button is pinned to a black ribbon with "FREE NELSON MANDELA! African National Congress" written on it in gold.
