Wayne, New Jersey, United States
January 17, 1992
About 50 anti-apartheid activists from New Jersey and New York held a demonstration at the municipal complex in Wayne, New Jersey, the township where the American Cyanamid Company has its world headquarters, to let Cyanamid's neighbors know about its bad labor and environmental practices in the United States and South Africa. Protestors held a sign saying "Welcome American Cyanamid to the Corporate Hall of Shame." The protest was the latest action in a four-year struggle by South Africans and Americans against Cyanamid.
