Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States
April 28, 1978?
After an all-night vigil, Harvard University students encircle University Hall, the main academic administration building located in Harvard Yard, and force it to close for the day. A pup tent, five or six sleeping bags, and a guitar case are still on the grassy area. Large banners are on the side of the building, with messages including “No HARVARD $ for APARTHIED!” The protest was organized by a United Front including the Harvard-Radcliffe Southern Africa Solidarity Committee.
