Poster advertising a talk by Dennis Brutus at Dartmouth College on April 4, 1982. The poster says Brutus is a world-renowned poet and writer and a professor of English at Amherst College. Brutus has been banned, imprisoned, and then exiled from South Africa for his anti-apartheid activities, and he now faces deportation from the U.S. for the same. Sponsors of this event are African and Afro-American Studies, the Afro-American Society, Alpha Phi Alpha, Dartmouth Radical Union, the International Student Association, Tucker Foundation, and the Upper Valley Committee for a Free Southern Africa.
