Danny Schechter at the funeral of Chief Albert Luthuli. Schechter, who was studying at the London School of Economics, was one of a number people, known as the London Recruits, who went to South Africa for the African National Congress (ANC). Schechter had travelled to South Africa as a tourist but smuggled in leaflets produced by the ANC and mailed them to addresses he had been given before going to the funeral.
