International Council of African Women
Washington, DC, United States
1984?
The round button features a drawing of a wooden Akan fertility figure, with a flat disk head. The figure is on a black map of the continent of Africa. The hands of three women reach into the center from around the circle to touch the figure. The text appears in black around the end of the button. The background of the button is very light pink. The button was probably produced when the International Council of African Women (ICAW) sponsored a national conference for women going to Africa.
