This poster was made in response to the destruction of shanties that had been built on campus in support of divestment. The shanties were destroyed with sledgehammers on the night of January 21, 1986 by a group of writers from The Dartmouth Review. The next day, nearly 200 outraged students occupied Parkhurst and the President's Office to protest the attack, while more students rallied outside. The poster seeks support for this action and calls on people to demonstrate their opposition to apartheid and the college's complicity in that system.
