Concert to celebrate Nelson Mandela's 71st birthday and Gladfelter Hall, Temple University. The event raised money for the Solomon Mahlangu Freedom College (SOMAFCO), the African National Congress (ANC) school for South African exile youth in Tanzania. The event was sponsored by sponsored by Friends of SOMAFCO, the Department of African and African-America Studies (Temple University), the Institute of African and African-American Affairs, the Martin Luther King Ant-Apartheid Coalition, Call to Conscience, and the Pan-African Studies Community Education Program.
