This poster with photographs of Walter Sisulu (left) and Nelson Mandela was issued during the Rivonia Trial for a campaign to free South African political prisoners. The campaign began in November 1963 when it was widely feared that all the Rivonia Trial defendants would be convicted and hanged. There was an international campaign to save the defendants lives.
