ANTI-APARTHEID 1978

Above and below this image is a collage of smaller images, including oppression of Africans, barbed wire, and white women sitting on a bench. At the bottom of the left and right black borders is small white text about South African refugees. This is one of two posters produced by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for International Anti-Apartheid Year, which began on March 21, 1978, the anniversary of the 1960 Sharpeville massacre. International Anti-Apartheid Year was proclaimed in UN General Assembly resolution 32/105B adopted on December 14, 1977.
