1980s?
Translation from Dutch to English: “SUPPORT ECONOMIC SANCTIONS AGAINST SOUTH AFRICA. Black workers would rather suffer from sanctions than from apartheid.” The poster features a drawing in brown of the face of an African man, tilting upward with both eyes closed. Two bandages forming an “X” are above one eye, and a wide piece of tape over the man’s mouth is ripping open. Poster produced by the Internationaal Verbond Van Vrije Vakverenigingen (International Confederation of Free Trade Unions [ICFTU]), which was based in Belgium.
