Poster of South Africa: The Imprisoned Society, a campaign of the Anti-Apartheid Movement. The poster includes a large iconic photograph of prisoners on Robben Island sitting in two long rows, breaking rocks. Inset in the bottom of this photo are four photographs of including African National Congress (ANC) leaders who were serving life sentences at that time: Nelson Mandela, Walter Sisulu, Ahmed Kathrada, and Namibian leader Johannes Nankudhu. The text is in red on a black background. Size: 43.5x63 cm.
