Nebraska Brace, an Alderman on the Albany Common Council, at the 20th Anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. At the original March on Washington Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his "I have a dream" speech. He was a leading voice is opposing the 1981 U.S. tour of the Springboks, South African rugby team, including working with the Capital District Coalition Against Apartheid and Racism (CD-CAAR), helping to organization the Stop the Apartheid Rugby Tour coalition and introduced a resolution to Albany's Common Council in an attempt to stop a game in Albany.
