Rally in Central Park on Saturday June 14, 1986 marking the Soweto uprising that began on June 16, 1976. People marched to the rally, some from the United Nations and some from Harlem. The march and rally were organized by the New York Anti-Apartheid Coordinating Council, a coalition of more than 200 labor, political, religious and student organizations.
