Shanty built on the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) by members of the Coalition Against Apartheid. Twenty-three MIT students and three others were arrested at this peaceful demonstration protesting MIT's unwillingness to divest from companies doing business in South Africa.
