Violence in Mozambique has uprooted more than two million people. More than 550,000 people have fled into neighboring countries and an estimated 1.5 million people are internally displaced. Church World Service has received reports of people arriving in reception centers wearing "garments" made of tree bark. Disruption of the agricultural system has put as many as 4.6 million people at risk of starvation. According to ecumenical personnel in the area, the destabilization is being conducted by RENAMO, a group believed to be supported by South Africa...
