During the 1970s, the Washington Office on Africa reproduced many mailings on a mimeograph machine to save on printing costs. Many issue of the "Washington Notes on Africa" newsletter were printed in black and red ink on this machine. Christine Root, Associate Director, is shown here running the machine.
