Anti-Apartheid Movement
London, United Kingdom
1987
Poster produced to pressure British supermarket Tesco's to stop selling South African goods, using Tesco's brand image of red lettering and blue and white stripes. Campaigners organized regular 'days of action' at the stores, handing out leaflets outside its stores asking shoppers to boycott South African products. Some activists piled South African fruit into trolleys and refused to pay. This poster was designed by Sue Longbottom.
