Barnet Anti-Apartheid Group
London, United Kingdom
Apparently early 1981
This white T-shirt features an image of Nelson Mandela with a somber expression, looking down. The Barnet Anti-Apartheid Group was a local group in north London affiliated to the Anti-Apartheid Movement (AAM) that pioneered the production of T-shirts publicizing AAM campaigns. They also produced T-shirts and sweatshirts in a range of colors with the AAM logo. The T-shirt is mentioned in the January-February 1981 issue of the newsletter Anti-Apartheid News.
