Poster issued as part of a campaign in support of Senate Bill 1138 that would require the Massachusetts state pension fund to divest (sell) stocks and bonds invested in banks and corporations which do business with South Africa. Size: 11 x 17 inches.
$131 million of our tax monies is invested through the Massachusetts Public Employees Pension Fund in U.S. banks and corporations in South Africa. Senate bill 1138 would require that this money be taken out of South Africa and if possible re-invested in Massachusetts to provide jobs and mortgages.
