Real Casspirs were used by the South African military and police in South Africa and Namibia. The cross country tour was from June 17 to July 26. The purposed of the tour was to publicize conditions in South Africa and southern Africa, to build support for sanctions, and to assist local organizers recruiting for work on sanctions and other Africa issues.
