1986
This T-shirt was made for an event organized by the New York Anti-Apartheid Coordinating Council, a coalition of more than 200 labor, political, religious and student organizations. The march had two starting points, Dag Hammerskjold Plaza near the United Nations and the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building, 12th Street in Harlem. The marchers came together for a rally on the Great Lawn in Central Park. (Source: "Anti-Apartheid Rally Planned for June 14", New York Times, May 29, 1986)
