The hand-drawn design for this button has horizontal stripes of the Pan-African colors red, black, and green, with yellow outline of the middle, black stripe. A white map of the African continent, with Namibia and South Africa in red, appears on top of the stripes. The words "Abolish Apartheid" are in black text on white background around the top and bottom edge of the button. The button was produced for use on MSU Anti-Apartheid Day, October 10, 1986. This is one of ten buttons included in a poster titled "The Sun Shall Rise" that depicts the various campaigns of the Southern African Liberation Committee. (The poster is on this website.) Size: 2-1/4 inches across.
