American Committee on Africa treasurer Tilden J. LeMelle (right) at a demonstration outside the South African consulate on Park Avenue in New York where he and five other American Committee on Africa (ACOA) officers, including Executive Director Jennifer Davis and Director Emeritus George M. Houser (left), were arrested for blocking the consulate doors. Also arrested were ACOA board members Peter Weiss and Dorothy Hibbert and Frank Montero, Chair of the Trustees of The Africa Fund, ACOA's tax-exempt associate. LeMelle is holding a poster that says ACOA SAYS GET IBM OUT OF SOUTH AFRICA.
