Trustees suggested people to consider for the Namibia Election Watch project: Adel Simmons, Goler Butcher, Johnnetta Cole, Rhodes Island legislators, Arthur Herzberg, Rabbi Schindler, Balfour Brickner, and Andy Young. Dumisani Kumalo reported on traveling to 30 campuses in ten states and legislative efforts in states and cities. Bill Howard noted Kumalo's work building the Religious Action Network. The minutes also mention the Mozambique Support Network (MSN), research on Renamo andUnita by Bill Minter, Medical Support for Zaire, and possible support from the Boehm Foundation. Trustees present were Tilden LeMelle, John L.S. Hollman, Marvin Rich, Robert Boehm, Rick Dutka, Victor Gotbaum, George Houser, William Landis, Margaret Marshall, Shelby Rooks, and Peter Weiss.
