Letter to Bill Lucy, President, Coalition of Black Trade Unionists. The Northern California CBTU chapter has a four-year history of working with the Free South Africa Labor Committee, and with the Bay Area Free South Africa Movement and the San Francisco Anti-Apartheid Committee from which it developed. The letter asks for support and active involvement in organizing the tour by CBTU and that CBTU encourage participation by international unions such as AFSCME, UMW, and District 65, who have long opposed apartheid. These unions are the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCSME), United Mine Workers of America (UMW), and District 65 of the United Auto Workers (UAW).
